Dental implants are small, cylindrical fixtures
that replace the root
portion of natural teeth and serve as anchors for crowns,
bridges
and dentures. These titanium anchors are placed into the
prepared
sites in the jawbone and after several months of healing
become firmly
attached within the bone.

With the recent advancements in dentistry,
our patients can now expect highly successful implant placements
right here at our office. We have a 3D x-ray unit that allows
us to better diagnose, design and place the implants as we
can view the quality and quantity of jaw bone in three dimensions. |
Once the placed implants are integrated with the jaw bone,
we can place a crown over the implant. The new tooth
looks,
feels and works exactly like the rest of your natural teeth.
In most instances, dental implants eliminate the need
to
shave
the two adjacent teeth in order to place a bridge.

Dental
implants require the same care as your natural teeth. This
includes regular flossing, brushing and scheduled dental
checkups. We will provide complete information for your
maintenance of implant teeth during the healing period,
and continuing care thereafter, in order to ensure long-term
success. |
